A`s recall OF Smolinski, option RHP Bassitt

The A`s restocked their bench ahead of Sunday`s series finale against the Royals, recalling outfielder Jake Smolinski from Triple-A Nashville. Right-hander Chris Bassitt, who held Kansas City to one run on three hits in a spot start for Trevor Cahill (Achilles) on Saturday, was optioned as the corresponding move.
